The “Puppets of Praise” is a Christian based youth ministry team who share the love of Christ through the use of puppetry. This unique ministry was conceived in 1982 under the name “First Puppeteers” from First Lutheran Church in Concord, CA. The ministry then moved to Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Walnut Creek where they took on the new name “Puppets of Praise and currently has their own small theater located at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pleasant Hill, CA. 

This dedicated group of young people, 5^th grade through high school age, (with a few local college kids thrown in) display their faith where ever the opportunity presents itself. They have performed throughout California and into the mission fields of Mexico. They have ministered in convalescent homes, churches, preschools, schools, religious organizations, neighborhood parks, out of the back of a moving truck in Mexico, senior centers, homeless centers, child abuse centers, and many other locations. Where ever they find a need or are invited you will find their Christian energy on display.
